BMS-986158 is a potent BET inhibitor effective in various cancer cell lines, with IC50s of 6.6 nM in NCI-H211 small cell lung cancer (SCLC) cells and 5 nM in MDA-MB231 triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells. It functions by inhibiting the bromodomain (BRD) and extra-terminal domain (BET) family of proteins, disrupting chromatin remodeling and preventing the expression of growth-promoting genes. This ultimately leads to an inhibition of tumor cell growth. It is intended for research use only.
