Cinobufagin is an anticancer agent derived from the Asiatic toad, Bufo gargarizans. It functions by inducing cell cycle arrest in either the G1 or G2/M phases, which subsequently leads to apoptosis in cancer cells. Studies have shown that Cinobufagin can inhibit tumor growth in mouse models with melanoma and glioblastoma multiforme xenografts.
