The Kyocera PR1535 is a PVD-coated carbide insert for turning applications. It features a CVD coating of TiCN, Al2O3 and TiN for high hardness and heat resistance. The grade has good wear resistance and can be used for continuous and interrupted machining of steel, stainless steel and cast iron. The PR1535 is available in multiple insert geometries including CNMG, DNMG, SNMG, TNMG and WNMG. It is well-suited for medium to heavy roughing and finishing operations.
