Cyanine3 azide chloride is an analog of Cy3 azide and functions as a potent green fluorescent dye. It is utilized in click chemistry for coupling with alkyne-labeled proteins. As a click chemistry reagent, it contains an azide group, enabling it to participate in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) reactions with alkyne-containing molecules. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
- Potent green fluorescent dye.
- Uses click chemistry for coupling with alkyne-labeled proteins.
- Detectable by fluorometers, imagers, and microscopes.
- Contains an azide group for copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) reactions.
- Can undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions.
- Excitation (Ex) at 555 nm and Emission (Em) at 569 nm.
