It has been shown to inhibit endoplasmic reticulum stress-associated TXNIP/NLRP3 inflammasome activation and NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated pyroptosis. It improved immune function in CD8+ T lymphocytes from HIV-1-infected patients. It might be a novel candidate for age-associated diseases.
