Contamination with diaminobenzidine (DAB) residue can be a problem that may affect staining quality on automated immunohistochemistry stainers. In most cases, bleach simply reduces the color intensity; whereas, DAB Away removes the residual DAB stain that may clog instrument probes and tubing. This three-component kit will prepare 250 milliliters of cleaning solution. DAB Away is designed to work on Biocare's Nemesis, and intelliPATH automated stainers. DAB Away can also be used with Dako's Autostainer, Autostainer Plus and Autostainer Plus Link instruments as well as Lab Vision's Autostainer 360, 480 and 720 models.
