GDP366 is a dual inhibitor of survivin and Op18, which induces cell growth inhibition, cellular senescence, and mitotic catastrophe in human cancer cells. It potently and selectively inhibits the expression of both survivin and Op18 by decreasing their mRNA and protein levels. This effect is independent of p53 and p21 status, although GDP366 increases p53 and p21 levels.
