GW 4064 is a synthetic small molecule which acts as a selective agonist of the orphan nuclear receptor FXR (EC50=15 nM). GW 4064 protects cells and organs against bile acid toxicity, and has been used to elucidate FXR's role in dyslipidemia, diabetes, obesity, and cancer. Has no activity against other nuclear receptors. Provided as 10 mg of dry powder. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
