GW 7647 is a synthetic small molecule agonist of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-alpha (PPARα), which is involved in lipid homeostasis regulation. Binds selectively to PPARα over PPARγ and PPARδ, with EC50s of 1-10 nM, ~1 µM, and 1-10 µM respectively. Exhibits anti-inflammatory properties, reduces NO production in macrophages, and has lipid-lowering effects. Provided as 5 mg of dry powder. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
