HCN-2 is a cortical neuron cell line that was derived from cortical tissue removed from a 7-week-old, female patient undergoing hemispherectomy for intractable seizures associated with Rasmussen's encephalitis. This cell line was deposited by Johns Hopkins University and can be used in neuroscience and toxicology research. This product is an ATCC manufactured and accessioned progeny of ATCC CRL-10742 cited in US Pat. No. 5,196,315.
