The 3M Hook and Loop Sanding Disc is a 4-1/2 inch diameter sanding disc with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing that attaches to a hook and loop sanding pad. It features an open coat aluminum oxide mineral that resists loading and cuts faster. The disc is designed for sanding wood, paint, metal and plastic. It has a maximum speed rating of 20,000 RPM and comes in grit sizes ranging from 60 to 320 grit. The sanding disc can be used for both wet and dry sanding applications.
