This Cogent RP C18™ Stationary Phase has been a premium value and used by HPLC laboratories for many years. It is double end capped ( fully ), with traditional bonding of an 18 carbon silane to the highest purity silica available, making this column ideal as an Alternate in USP Methods that use the L1 Classification or for new methods.With a 3µm Particle, this column is more efficient than a 5um column of the same phase and you will experience sharper peaks. However, due to the smaller particle size, there is and increased back pressure. Used for hydrophobic or neutral compounds in Reversed Phase, this Octadecyl Phase is excellent for long chain fatty acids. This column is often chosen as a scouting column for preparative methods.
