Highly purified (99% pure by SDS-PAGE) human type I collagen derived from human placenta in 1 mL of 0.05M acetic acid at a concetration of 0.5 mg/ml. Each vial contains enough collagen to coat ten 96-well ELISA plates. It is ideal for use as an ELISA antigen to detect anti-human type I collagen antibodies in serum of experimental animals used in the Collagen-Induced Arthritis (CIA) model, or human serum from patients with arthritis or other diseases. Each vial of ELISA grade human type I collagen also comes with 10 mL of 10X Collagen Dilution Buffer that should be used to prevent the aggregation of collagen molecules when coating ELISA plates.
