Bioactive Fibronectin (FN) Human, E. coli Recombinant is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain of 574 amino acids and 62.6 kDa molecular mass. Biological activity was measured by ability to support cell attachment/spreading when used as a substratum for cell culture. Recommended concentration for this effect is typically 1-5 ?g/cm2. FN can also be added to media to support cell spreading at a concentration of 0.5-50 ?g/ml. APPLICATION: FN is useful for induction of cell attachment to plastic and glass tissue culture labware, petri dishes, coverslips, etc. FN is useful for growth and maintenance of cells in low serum conditions. In general, reconstituted FN should be diluted with sterile physiological saline or serum-free medium to a concentration of 10-50 ¿g/ml. PURITY >95%. FORMULATION: Lyophilized from a 0.2 ?m filtered concentrated solution in 20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 150 mM NaCl, with 5% Trehalose and 0.02% Tween-20.
