Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is a pediatric brain tumor that originates in the brainstem. Cells isolated from these childhood tumors are successfully cultured ex vivo with EGF, FGF-basic (or FGF-2), and PDGFs (AA and BB).
