Ibezapolstat (ACX-362E) is a first-in-class, orally active DNA polymerase IIIC (pol IIIC) inhibitor developed for the research of C. difficile infection (CDI). It is for research use only.

  • Active against a broad spectrum of C. difficile pathogens
  • MIC range of 1-8 μg/mL for 104 C. difficile clinical isolates
  • Poorly absorbed and nontoxic in hamster C. difficile-associated disease model
  • Strong anti-C. difficile properties in hamster CDAD model, protecting infected animals for up to 5 days
  • Appears as a white to off-white solid
  • Soluble in DMSO (62.5 mg/mL)
  • Powder storage: -20°C for 3 years, 4°C for 2 years
  • In solvent storage: -80°C for 6 months, -20°C for 1 month
