The Micro 100 Indexable Turning Toolholder 16R838 is a right-hand turning toolholder with a 1" shank diameter and 8" overall length. It has a 0.625" minimum bore depth and accepts CNMG style inserts with a 0.625" IC size. The toolholder body is made from steel and has a black oxide finish. It is designed for general purpose turning applications and has a maximum insert size capacity of 0.500" x 0.500". The toolholder allows high feed rates and depth of cuts. It accepts negative rake inserts and provides good chip control. The toolholder can be used on most engine lathes, turret lathes, and CNC lathe machines. It requires a 1" boring bar holder or tool block.
