IL-8 binds the G protein-coupled serpentine receptors CXCR1 and CXCR2. IL-8 recruits innate immune cells, induces phagocytosis, and stimulate angiogenesis. Recombinant human Interleukin 8 is a non-glycosylated protein monomer, containing 77 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 8.9 kDa.
