Senten et al. used Thz to obtain DPP II and DPP IV inhibitors. Reduction of thioproline with sodium in liquid ammonia yields N-methyl-cysteine. Thioproline inhibits development of esophageal adenocarcinoma induced by gastroduodenal reflux in rats.
