It has an LCD display with 0.0005" (0.01mm) resolution and features Mitutoyo's ABSOLUTE linear encoder technology for resistance to dirt, debris and shocks. The depth rod is carbide tipped for durability. It has a ratchet stop for repeatable measurements. The unit can switch between inch and metric units. It runs on SR44 batteries and has a 2 year battery life. The depth gage comes with a certificate of inspection and is made in Japan.
