Melanotan II is a synthetic analog of the melanocortin peptide hormone α-MSH. Effects of its use include melanogenesis and aphrodesia. Clinical development ceased in 2003 with no products FDA approved, but melanotan II products are currently sold and purchased online. Acts as an agonist for MC1R, MC3R, MC4R, and MC5R. Provided as 1 mg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter, PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
