Mycophenolic acid sodium is a potent uncompetitive inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH) inhibitor with an EC50 of 0.24 μM. It exhibits antiviral effects against a broad spectrum of RNA viruses and functions as an immunosuppressive agent.
