NecroIr1 is an iridium(III) complex that acts as a necroptosis inducer in Cisplatin-resistant lung cancer cells (A549R). It accumulates selectively in mitochondria, causing oxidative stress and a decrease in mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP). NecroIr1 activates receptor-interacting serine-threonine kinase 3 (RIPK3) and Mixed Lineage Kinase (MLKL), and regulates CDK4 expression.

  • Activates necroptosis proteins and increases phosphorylation of RIPK1 and RIPK3
