Neo Poly Dex is a combination of neomycin and Polymyxin B, which are antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections, and dexamethasone, an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid, used to treat swelling associated with bacterial infections of the eye. It can also be used as a preventative for infection in eye injuries or wounds. For steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions for which a corticosteroid is indicated and where bacterial infection or a risk of bacterial ocular infection exists. This medication treats/prevents only bacterial eye infections. It will not work for other types of eye infections and may worsen them.
