Thomson Instrument Company Optimum Growth™ Sampling Flasks incorporate a 1-way valve with Luer Lock for syringe sampling of flask contents. A 0.2μm PTFE vented cap for optimum aeration during cultivation creates a safe aseptic barrier, while the large surface area creates an optimum air exchange for cell growth. Thomson Optimum Growth™ Flasks are ideal for mammalian or insect cell culture, and available in 125mL, 250mL, 500mL, and 5L sizes. The shake flasks hold 2-3x more media compared to traditional shake flasks, greatly increasing shaker efficiency. These flasks feature a unique low shear baffle to increase aeration, while maintaining cell viability and improving yields. The Optimum Growth™ System consists of high efficiency standard and specialty flasks, transfer caps and the Rapid Clear Cap for media clarification. These products are individually packaged and sterilized for immediate use.
