Supplier: Medchemexpress LLC HYB073010MM/1ML
Pamidronate disodium pentahydrate is a second-generation nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate supplied as a 10 mM solution. It inhibits bone loss by significantly inhibiting subchondral bone loss in early osteoarthritis, achieved by upregulating osteoprotegerin expression and inhibiting RANKL, MMP-9, and TLR-4 in cartilage. It also inhibits Wnt and β-catenin signaling and is applicable for research on osteoporosis and osteosarcoma.
- Inhibits the cell viability of osteosarcoma cells (POS, HMPOS, COS31) at concentrations ranging from 0.001-1000 μM over 72 hours, without cytotoxicity to fibroblasts.
- Improves bone structure and alleviates degenerative changes of cartilage.
- Exhibits a protective effect against osteoarthritis in rabbit models.
- Increases bone volume fraction (BV/TV), trabecular thickness (TbTh), and trabecular number (TbN).
- Reduces cartilage surface erosion and increases chondrocyte and matrix content.
