PuroMAG™ Prpotein G coated magnetic beads are designed for efficient capture of IgG and other antibodies from serum, cells, and other biological samples.
Protein G is a cell wall component produced by group G Streptococcus strains. It binds the Fc part of a wide range of immunoglobulins (Ig’s). Protein G coupled to PuroMAG superparamagnetic beads are suitable for fast and efficient capture of a wide range of Ig’s. Protein G shows different affinity for Ig’s from different species and for different isotypes within a species (see the Table in the Info section).
During the purification the sample containign Ig's is first mixed with PuroMAG Protein G coated beads. During 30 min incubation the Ig’s bind to PuroMAG-PRG beads via their Fc region. The samples are then placed on a magnetic rack for pull-down and washhing to produce a purified compelex of antibodies bound
