PSI-6206 (CAS 863329-66-2) is a small-molecule inhibitor targeting the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) NS5B RNA polymerase It is designed to inhibit this viral enzyme thereby disrupting HCV RNA synthesis PSI-6206 exerts its biological activity primarily through inhibition of RNA synthesis mediated by the HCV NS5B polymerase following intracellular conversion to its triphosphate form (RO2433-TP) In HCV replicase assays PSI-6206 demonstrates an IC50 value of 1 19 M and in recombinant Con1 NS5B protein studies it has an IC50 of 0 52 M (Ki 0 141 M) Based on these pharmacological properties PSI-6206 holds research potential in HCV replication studies and antiviral drug candidate evaluation
