Recombinant PLBL-2 (UniProt #G3I6T1) with a 6xHIS tag was expressed in and purified from CHO-S cells. PLBL2 is synthesized as a ~66KDa preproenzyme. Due to the processing mechanism of PLBL2 by this cell line, PLBL2 is mainly detected at estimated molecular weights of 66 kDa, 60 kDa, and 40 kDa under reducing conditions. The protein is detected by Western blotting using anti-6His and anti-PLBL2 antibodies. The product concentration is determined using absorbance reading at 280 nm (A280 value = 2.0) and a Bradford protein assay with a BGG standard curve.
