Cell migration is a highly integrated, multistep process that orchestrates embryonic morphogenesis, tissue repair and regeneration. The Radius™ 24-Well Cell Migration Assay Kit uses a proprietary 24-well plate to monitor migration of cells. Each plate well contains a 0.68 mm non-toxic, biocompatible hydrogel spot where cells do not attach. Adherent cells are seeded and attach everywhere but the Radius™ Gel coated area. Once firm attachment is achieved, the hydrogel is quickly removed to expose a cell-free region across which cells can migrate. The kit provides qualitative or quantitive results with real-time or endpoint analysis, and it is compatible with most HCS and liquid handling instruments. Radius Cell Migration Assays are also available as well in 48-well, 96-well and 384-well formats, and Radius 24-Well Assay Kits are available with wells precoated with Collagen I, Fibronectin or Laminin to promote adhesion of certain cell types.
