This ELISA utilizes a sandwich format with antibodies specific for rat/mouse NPY. Samples and standards are incubated allowing NPY to bind coated wells. After washing, detection antibody binds captured NPY. Adding enzyme substrate generates a colorimetric signal proportional to sample NPY concentration. Compared to a standard curve, unknown NPY concentrations are determined. This convenient kit requires only 20 μl sample size and provides results in 3 hours at room temperature. No sample extraction is necessary prior to running the assay.
