This is a Frozen liquid buffered in 0.05M Sodium Acetate; 0.1M NaCl; 1mM EDTA; pH 5.0 and a purity of >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. N-terminus of (wild type) rat PAI-1 tagged with 6x-HIS, allowing immobilization of functionally active PAI-1 onto surfaces such as metal chelate microtiter plates or Ni+2 resins. This is an active fraction that is more than 99% pure and 98% active (determined by SDS-PAGE). This product can be used as a control in applications like ELISA and Western Blot, as well as blocking/inhibition, fibrinolysis, plasminogen activation, receptor binding, in hypertension studies, and for protein-protein interactions
