These sleeves protect arms from hazardous dry particulates and light-chemical splash and spray. Dry particulates are larger in size than aerosols and include dust and dirt. Garments that provide light-chemical splash and spray resistance protect against inorganic acids, bases, and salts and are worn when cleaning tanks or hazardous waste cleanup when liquid jet streams are encountered. Sleeves pull on over the wrist. They are worn over bare arms or combined with other clothing to help minimize heat stress.
