Designed and optimized for the requirements of WBC separation workflows. It is a proven filtration device created to capture and recover leukocytes for further analysis of WBCs, or alternatively, removal of WBCs to produce leukodepleted blood samples.The Acrodisc WBC filter contains Pall's patented Leukosorb media. Leukosorb is a fibrous matrix that uses a multimodal approach of size exclusion and adsorption to capture and recover leukocytes from whole blood samples while allowing Red Blood Cells (RBCs) and platelets to flow through the membrane. The Acrodisc WBC provides scientists a simple and efficient method to isolate blood cells used in a variety of research applications.This syringe filter is supplied sterile (gamma irradiated) to help prevent unwanted contamination, and includes a female luer lock (FLL) outlet, to facilitate a backflush step to recover WBCs. This product is not approved for use in medical, clinical, surgical or other patient applications.
