Tezosentan is an endothelin (ET) receptor antagonist, also known as RO 610612, with pA2s of 9.5 and 7.7 for ETA and ETB receptors, respectively. This compound is intended for research use only.
- Inhibits specific 125I-labeled ET-1 binding to ETA receptors with a Ki of 0.3 nM on CHO cells and 18 nM on membranes of baculovirus-infected insect cells.
- Inhibits specific binding of 125I-labeled ET-1, ET-3, or sarafotoxin S6c to ETB receptors with an inhibitory affinity of 10 to 21 nM.
- Dose-dependently inhibits the pressor effect of big ET-1 in pithed Wistar rats.
- Effective in a rat model of acute renal failure.
- Off-white to light yellow solid appearance.
- Store at 4°C, sealed, away from moisture and light.
