The Micro 100 16R688 is a 1/2" diameter, 4 flute, carbide thread mill with a TiAlN coating. It has a right hand spiral flute and can cut 60 degree threads from 16-28 TPI in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other materials. The thread mill has a 1/2" shank and is 5-1/2" overall length. It should be run at speeds from 60-120 SFM with coolant and can produce full form threads in a single pass. The 16R688 thread mill is made in the USA by Micro 100.
