Tirofiban hydrochloride monohydrate is a selective and reversible platelet integrin receptor (Gp IIb/IIIa) antagonist that inhibits fibrinogen binding to this receptor and has antithrombotic activity. It induces proliferation and migration on endothelial cells by inducing the production of VEGF.
