Tobramycin (Nebramycin Factor 6) is a parenterally administered, broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic used in the treatment of moderate to severe bacterial infections caused by sensitive organisms. It can also be used in pneumonia research caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

  • Broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic.
  • Effective against sensitive organisms causing bacterial infections.
  • Can be combined with mycobacterium fortuitum enzyme (PodA) to greatly decrease P. aeruginosa cell viability.
  • Combines with Meropenem to produce bacterial cell kill effect at low doses of both drugs in murine pneumonia models.
