Apexbio Technology LLC Tranexamic Acid 1197-18-8 10mM (in 1mL H2O)

Supplier: Apexbio Technology LLC B18585.1

Tranexamic Acid is an antifibrinolytic agent functioning as a competitive inhibitor of plasminogen activation It specifically binds lysine-binding sites on plasminogen and plasmin thereby restricting their affinity for fibrin and cellular surfaces and subsequently reducing fibrinolytic activity It also interferes with plasmin-induced neutrophil adherence to endothelial cells by blocking lysine-based interactions In experimental models Tranexamic Acid has been shown to dose-dependently influence fibrinolysis and bleeding times making it useful in vitro and in vivo to investigate fibrinolytic mechanisms plasmin-mediated biological responses and related therapeutic interventions
