This MicroSolv PTFE ( Polytetrafluoroethylene ) Tubing is extruded from virgin PTFE, manufactured exclusively by DuPont. We do not add any additives to the original PTFE material, except for particles for color coding. This tubing is used widely in all low-pressure, laboratory applications including before and after an HPLC Pump. The blue color can be used to identify different lines often used with Mobile Phase Delivery and Solvent Waste Systems. Since PTFE tubing contains "micro-pores" in the tubing wall, which allows a quick air exchange, consideration for for use with degassed and oxygen-sensitive solvents is needed. Internal and Outer Dimensional Tolerance: +/- 0.20mm Color: Black ( Often used for liquids that cannot be exposed to light) ID: 0.020" ( 0.50mm ) Pressure rating: 725 psi.
