Vonafexor (EYP001) is an orally active, non-steroidal, and selective FXR agonist. It significantly reduces HBsAg when combined with Peg-IFNα and can be used for anti-HBV research. In vitro, Vonafexor inhibits HBV replication in HepaRG cells, leading to significant reductions in HBV DNA, HBsAg, and HBeAg secretion. This effect is enhanced when combined with Entecavir or Tenofovir.
