The Loos & Co. Wire Rope Thimble is made of galvanized steel with a 3/16" inside diameter. It is designed to fit 3/16" wire rope and protect it from wear. The thimble has a closed eye and is used to form an eye loop at the end of the wire rope. It can be used in rigging and lifting applications to prevent fraying and damage to the wire rope. The thimble is galvanized for corrosion resistance. It meets Fed Spec RR-C-271 Type II Class A and military spec MIL-T-781H.
