DNase, RNase, and Protease-Free Products

Molecular biology grade ethanol is DNase and protease tested to verify absence of hydrolytic enzymes and meet ACS specifications. Molecular biology grade isopropanol is tested for DNase, RNase, and protease to help ensure absence of hydrolyzing enzymes. It also offers low UV optical absorbance.

Our molecular biology grade solvents now include 70%, 96%, and absolute ethanol solutions and 99.9% Isopropanol that are deemed DNase, RNase, and Protease free. These solutions are ideal for concentrating nucleic acid samples by precipitation, often in the presence of monovalent cations (e.g., sodium or ammonium).
