HSP27 inhibitor J2 (J2) is a small-molecule inhibitor of heat shock protein 27 (HSP27) that induces abnormal HSP27 dimer formation and inhibits formation of HSP27 giant polymers, disrupting HSP27 chaperone function and reducing cellular protection.
