HSP27 inhibitor J2 (J2) is a small-molecule inhibitor of heat shock protein 27 (HSP27) that induces abnormal HSP27 dimer formation and inhibits formation of HSP27 giant polymers, disrupting HSP27 chaperone function and reducing cellular protection. In cellular studies J2 enhances the antiproliferative activity of 17-AAG and sensitizes cells to cisplatin, supporting its use in mechanistic and combination oncology research.
