Seratrodast (AA 2414) is an orally active antiasthmatic agent that functions as a thromboxane A2 receptor (TP) antagonist and a ferroptosis inhibitor. It reduces lipid Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) production, modulates the systemic xc-/GSH/GPX4 axis, and inhibits JNK phosphorylation and p53 expression. This analytical standard is used in qualitative, quantitative, and methodological research experiments such as HPLC, GC, and MS.
- Exhibits anti-asthmatic and anti-epileptic activity
- Used as a reference standard for assays
- Inhibits ferroptosis induced by RSL3 or Erastin in HT22 cells
- Down-regulates the phosphorylation level of JNK
- Prevents cell death in HT22 cells induced by ferroptosis inducer
