Meta-topolin (m-Topolin) is a highly active aromatic cytokinin, naturally occurring in plant tissues. It was initially isolated from poplar leaves and is found alongside its 9-β-D-ribofuranosyl and 9-β-v-glucopyranosyl derivatives. This compound demonstrates greater activity than zeatin and benzyladenine in promoting shoot formation within plant tissue cultures, and shows comparable efficacy to BAP in shoot production in *Spathiphyllum floribundum*.
