Valve, Chem-Vac, Hi-Vac, Low Hold Up, 0-8mm, Viton O-Ring. Similar to CG-927 CHEM-VAC valve but with the arms bent to minimize hold up of fluids. Valve has TFE plug with three o-rings, the tip o-ring making the primary seal on the precision formed tapered seat. O-rings on the non-rotating shaft form an excellent dynamic seal between the TFE plug and glass barrel. An ultimate vacuum of 10-7 can be realized with the standard three seals. Smooth acting valve permits fine adjustment of the opening. Front ring seal makes a positive closure against a precision-formed heavy glass seal. NOT bakeable. O-rings are NOT replaceable. Reference marks on the stopcock body aid in repetitive setting. Replacement plugs with O-rings sold separately.

Replacement part for CG1226 series desiccators. The supplied polypropylene stopcock has a PTFE plug which turns easily, allowing a slow, gentle entrance of air to prevent unnecessary turbulence and crucible damage. Stopcock port accepts 1/4¿ I.D. tubing.
