Low form shallow dewars permit essential operations that are not practical with standard cylindrical or spherical dewars including insertion of small flasks in dewar, agitation in flask with magnetic stirrer, rapid freezing and recovery of tissue/organ specimens, and tempering of stirring rods, pestles and other small objects. The protective aluminum bases extend the full height of the dewars. Note that protected vacuum tip-off tubulations are offset to the side to minimize space between the dewar bottoms and magnetic stirrers.

The CoolCube provides convenient storage of heat sensitive samples on a lab bench and maintains temperature at 0°C for up to four hours.
