Miles Scientific Silica Gel G 250um 20x20cm (25 plates/box)
No organic substances are added to these products, thus making them compatible with sulfuric acid charring visualization. These plates are commonly scraped from the glass backing to isolate separated components for other analytical procedures. They are compatible with all organic solvents however, they are not recommended for use in systems containing greater than 20% water because of the solubility of the gypsum binder in aqueous solutions. The "G" stands for Gypsum and indicates that calcium sulfate hemihydrate (CaSO4·1/2H2O), a refined form of gypsum, has been included in the adsorption formulation. Gypsum functions as a binder, improving the cohesion of the adsorbent particles and increasing the adhesion of the layer to the glass substrate.

Resolv-Rf™ Silica Hard Layer (HL) TLC Plates are made with standard grade Silica 60, which has a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, and particle size of 5-17um. This analytical hard layer is bound to a glass support. It has a thickness of 250um and dimensions of 20x20cm. There are 25 plates per pack. Resolv-Rf™ TLC Plates are suitable for all common separations. The layer has a hardness that is abrasion resistant and can be easily labeled with a lead pencil for clear identification. The dense coating yields narrow bands for a high separation efficiency. Applications include: drug synthesis compounds, identity of drugs, food and environmental samples, quality control testing of pharmaceuticals, etc. Made in the U.S.A.

Alumina Neutral (pH 6-8) with UV254, analytical, glass backed TLC plates. The coating thickness is 250um and dimensions are 20x20cm. There are 25 plates per pack. Applications include: terpenes, alkaloids, steroids, aliphatic and aromatic compounds. To ensure sufficient adherence an inert organic binder is added to the aqueous suspension for coating. The aluminum oxide layer has a specific surface of about 200 m2/g (BET) and a pore size of about 60A. To activate the aluminum oxide layer, we recommend heating the TLC plates for 10 minutes at 120C.

Cellulose 300 with UV254, aluminum backed TLC plates. The coating thickness is 100um and dimensions are 20x20cm. There are 25 plates per pack. Applications include: partition chromatography of polar substances such as amino acids, carboxylic acids or carbohydrates. Cellulose is especially used for partition chromatographic separations of polar substances such as amino acids and other carboxylic acids or carbohydrates. Compared to paper chromatography (PC) thin layer chromatography, cellulose offers shorter migration times and more concentrated substance spots resulting in a higher detection sensitivity. TLC plates (CEL 300) are coated with native, fibrous cellulose.
