Design of the bearing permits replacement of the saddle o-ring at a fraction of the cost of the entire bearing.

Upper portion of bearing rotates with the stirrer shaft providing a flake-free seal. The bearing consists of a PTFE standard taper body, Glass filled polypropylene screw cap, PEEK/PTFE sleeve and a glass filled polypropylene loosening nut and a specially designed glass ball-bearing for rigidity and smoothness of operation. The polymer blend sleeve provides a long lasting seal for use up to 500 RPM. Loosening nut above the standard taper inner joint allows easy and quick removal. Bearing is 45mm OD at its widest point.

Our NEW mechanical seal bearing is the only design on the market that will permit you to use your current glass, metal or PTFE covered stir shaft. The design allows you to have the flexibility of vertical adjustment and still choose your agitator diameter and style. Bearing has a ferrule and locking nut to ensure that the seal rotates properly, and is supplied complete with a gold plated wrench. Lower joint adapters are supplied complete with perfluorinated o-rings and a loosening nut. 10mm Chem-Vac Stirrer Bearing, PTFE, 24/40 Joint Size. Chem-Vac PTFE stirrer bearing provides a VACUUM TIGHT FLAKE-FREE SEAL. Two versions of the bearing are available, the standard series for 2L and smaller vessel capacities and the stabilizer series that incorporates a PEEK/PTFE stabilizing bushing that is molded to the lower portion of the inner joint. The stabilizer greatly reduces stirrer shaft whip on larger vessels. The bearing consists of a PTFE standard taper body, Glass filled polypropylene screw cap, PEEK Compression spring, PEEK/PTFE sleeve and a glass filled polypropylene loosening nut.
